Summer 2021 Offerings

Notes about In-Person Programs:

As of July 1, 2021, ACT will no longer require those entering our studio to wear face coverings, in accordance with the lifting of the MDHHS Gatherings and Face Coverings Emergency Order. However, the safety of ACT participants, guests, and staff are still our top priority.  Face coverings, although optional, are still welcomed and encouraged.  We have masks on-site for any individual that requests one.  We will still ask that individuals with a fever, and those not feeling well, do not enter the studio.  Instead, please call an ACT staff person to let them know that you will be absent.  We will continue our sanitizing and cleaning procedures to maintain the safety of our students, teaching artists, volunteers, and staff, and we will employ physical distancing measures as we are able.

Summer Camp at Frederik Meijer Gardens (In-Person)

Life is a garden, so let's dig in! In our Summer Camp at Frederik Meijer Gardens, formerly known as "Art in the Gardens," we'll spend three days creating colorful art projects inspired by the flowering plants seen on short walks and a tram ride around the gardens. This hands-on, educational, and creative experience will teach us about plants and how a little bit of dirt and some paint here-or-there can create beautiful masterpieces. We'll use watercolors, sculpting clay, and even dig in some dirt, so come ready to have lots of creative fun!

Bring a morning snack, lunch, a water bottle, and sunblock. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable clothing and shoes. To allow for social distancing, only 12 individuals may participate in our Summer Summer Camp at FMG, including any caregivers needed to provide direct assistance.

Cost: $150
