Service Description
During the summer months, discover the beauty of botany by gathering various pieces of nature to create a diverse array of art using plants. We will start by creating a flower-pressing book to dry flowers and leaves. Using these dried pieces and other materials brought to class, we will make sun prints (cyanotypes), leaf rubbings, clay impressions, and more. Throughout the process, you will learn about Michigan's native plants and uncover the art found in nature. Cost: $90 Location: ACT Studio Teaching Artist: Bree Weatherford Time: Tuesdays, 4:00-5:00 pm (1 hr) Class Dates (7 classes): 6/10, 6/17, 6/24, 7/1, 7/8, 7/15, 7/22 Special Event: Showcase on 7/29
