ACTion ArtPrize Artists on display at Amway Grand Plaza hotel
Artists Creating Together is proud to sponsor Jurors’ Choice Selections of the ACTion Art 2022 Competition in ArtPrize 2022. One of the artists is Mary Jo Cassidy, with her art piece entitled "Connection - Seeing is Believing".
Mary Jo Cassidy likes to draw and paint. She considers painting a vehicle for the great expression of her love for animals and has a large personal collection of animal paintings. She enjoys working with other artists each week at the Paint a Miracle Art studio based in Rochester, MI.
Mary Jo enjoys visiting the zoo any day regardless of the weather. On one special visit to the zoo with her sister, she visited the panther habitat and had a moment with one of the panthers she said was “the most beautiful cat I had ever seen”. When Mary Jo looked into one of the panther’s eyes, she had a moment of connection where she could feel the panther’s inner strength and gentleness. She felt joy from the encounter and was inspired to paint a piece of the black panther she shared that moment with. Mary Jo’s favorite subject matter is animals, and has done many animal paintings before because of her special connections with them.
Mary Jo's work will be displayed at the Amway Grand Plaza hotel throughout the ArtPrize event, from September 15 through October 2. You can find out more about Mary Jo Cassidy and other artists by visiting www.paintamiracle.org
There is no 'voting' process or number this year. ArtPrize is having event visitors create a free profile through their website, then add artwork to their 'Favorites List' so that ArtPrize can track pieces with the most engagement in real time.
